With more than 200 participants, led by local architects and landscape architets, the second-annual SPOKE bike ride on Sept. 29, part of St. Louis Design Week, was a huge success. We were able to engage with the public about our profession, and got to show off one of our most beautiful feats of landscape architecture in the city: Forest Park. The weather was perfect for the tour, and all riders were glowing with feedback. St. Louis ASLA has co-sponsored the event for two years, and we're glad to see the event continue to grow.Thank you to all the tour guides and volunteers who made it an informative and well-attended event. Looking forward to next year!
Local architects, landscape architects and cyclists will lead groups of participants on a unique bike tour that will give riders of all skill levels the opportunity to enjoy some of our city’s landmark buildings and landscapes. This year, SPOKE will begin and conclude in Forest Park, and routes will take riders through Midtown, the Botanical Grove and Forest Park. Two route options, to accommodate varying skill levels. Riders will be able to select their route and start time during registration. Online Tickets Available Here
